Wiff or Wiffout Classic Tournament Logistics and Rules:

• Teams are made up of 6 players on a team. Only 5 will play the field.
  • Each team has unlimited fielding substitutions, but fielding changes can only be made before the inning. Once a team is out in the field, they are set until the next inning.
• Registrants must be 18 years of age or older
• Wins will advance your team in the 64-team bracket style tournament
• StrikeZone, Bats, and Balls will be provided by Access Sports and The Darren Daulton Foundation
• There will be an umpire (or multiple) at every game sitting behind home plate and on the field.
• Taunting is allowed, but physical contact and profanity will not be tolerated.
• Once the batting order of a team is set, it can’t change. Every time your team bats out of order it is considered an out.
• Umpires is in charge of keeping calling balls and strikes, fair and foul balls, safe and out calls, batter interferences, and home runs.
• There is no pitching substitutions in the middle of an inning
• All players play bare handed
• No fast pitch. We want the games to be competitive so we want to make sure pitching speed is slow enough for people to hit, but not so slow that teams are pitching under hand. Curve balls, sidearm throwing, and slides are allowed.
• No scuffed balls.
• No pegging is allowed. (Pegging is when you throw the ball at a runner. The runner that’s hit is considered out and other runner cannot advance.)
• Base runner must remain on base until the ball is hit
• Stealing bases is not allowed
• Throwing a bat, yelling at an umpire, using profanity and fighting with a player from another team will not be tolerated. It could result in ejection from the game, or forfeit of the game.
• Alcohol is not permitted on the Proving Grounds.

Weather Cancellation Policies:

Your safety and enjoyment of the WoW Classic experience is our top priority. When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, The WoW Classic officials maintain the right to delay or cancel the event. No refunds will be provided. The WoW Classic Committee will provide alternate indoor activities on the event date should inclement weather lead to cancelling of the outdoor tournament.

If Event is canceled more than 24 hours prior to the start time: We will notify all participants by email. If Event is canceled less than 24 hours before start time: We will notify all participants by email. We will also send a text to all participants who agreed to receive notification text messages during the registration process. If Event is canceled during the actual event, on-site notification will be posted and announcements made.
